Where it's strong

Consultation fees $300 a tear), dental illness $600 a year, emergency boarding $1,500 a year and overseas pet travel are all included.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are both explicitly not treated as pre-existing, and are coverable, as long as they hadn't shown symptoms before the policy started.
A genuine clearance path for pre-existing conditions: symptom-free for 18 months and it stops being treated as pre-existing (with named exceptions below).

Worth knowing

Co-payment is fixed at 20% with no lower option. Some competitors let you select down to 10%.
Excess is per condition, so it can be charged more than once a year.
Cruciate ligament, IVDD, hip / elbow dysplasia, patella luxation and endocrine disease can never use the 18-month pre-existing clearance path, even once symptom-free.
